I would like to congratulate the brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon for their great success on SAE Haunted House. To be very honest, I had my eyes glued to the ground for a chunk of time because I am a huge baby, but from what I saw and went through, the house was terrifying… In a good way.

Now, I am not an experienced haunted house expert, but I was legitimately scared from the moment I walked up to the SAE house. Just to clarify how frightening it was to me, I’ll publicly admit that, during the whole entire time, I was whimpering like a child and clung onto Sarah Mofford and Aliza Goldsmith, who were brave and tolerant enough to go into a Haunted House with me.

Aside from how SAE achieved their goal of scaring the crap out of me, I was also very impressed at how well the event proceeded. Not only was this event well publicized and attended, but the house was also very well decorated, as if it was done by professionals, with every corner of the house intended to freak out its visitors. I don’t think I will look at strobe lights, dark mazes, and V for Vendetta masks the same for a long, long time.

SAE’s Haunted House was a frightening experience for a crybaby like me, but it became my new Oxy tradition; I can’t wait for next October when I get to go back to SAE’s Haunted House again . . . Hopefully my heart will be more prepared for its surprises!
