Every Oxy student should consider applying to be a student representative for the Board of Trustees’ Committees, the Deans’ Advisory Board or the Campus Events Advisory Council (CEAC). The 6 Board of Trustees’ Committees are: Business & Finance, Buildings & Grounds, Educational Affairs, Honorary Degrees, Institutional Advancement, and Investment.
The positions hold a lot of power without taking up a lot of time. The Board of Trustees holds an immense about of power and they are willing to listen to your concerns. After all, a student letter to the Board is what made the Green Bean a reality.
The Deans’ Advisory Board advises Dean Avery and Dean Gonzalez and is a great way to get some stay with the people that directly affect our lives as students. The CEAC is pretty self-explanatory. If you have any complaints about Oxy, this is a great opportunity to do something about it. Look for the application in your OxyConnect inbox.
