Jeh Johnson: Track & Field AOW_JeremyBloom-2

Jeh Johnson (junior) continued his strong performance for the men’s track and field team this weekend. Johnson was a part of the 4x100m relay team that set a seasonal best time of 41.43, as well as of the 4x400m team that is now the fastest in the country, finishing with a time of 3:13.15. Individually, Johnson finished first in the 200m dash, coming in with a time of 21.12.

“I really think I can attribute my recent success to Taco Tuesdays at Charlie’s, never skipping leg day and constant motivation from coaches and teammates,” Johnson said via email.

Carly Zurcher: Women’s Water Polo

AOW_JeremyBloomCarly Zucker (junior) recorded five goals in the Tigers’ victory over Caltech and Wednesday and added another in their loss against Redlands Saturday.

“I’m really proud of how the team and I performed overall this season, despite what our record shows,” Zurcher said via email. “We’ve all improved so much, especially in terms of aggression and mental game play. My goals moving forward are to help create as many opportunities as possible to score in our upcoming SCIAC championship tournament. This week’s two games especially showed our team’s improvement on the defensive end, and this next week I hope we can improve our shooting and general offense for SCIACs.”
