The Occidental football and women’s basketball teams will be sponsoring a “Be The Match” Bone Marrow Drive tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Academic Quad. The teams are hoping to get students involved with their community. “Be The Match” travels around to campuses to raise awareness for the need to donate. Students will add their names to the bone marrow registry in hopes of finding a match and a donor. It only takes about 15 minutes to complete the application and give a cheek swab; a very simple process. “We are excited to join with women’s basketball and bring this great program to Oxy,” head football coach Doug Semones said. “Who knows, someone who registers here may save a life, and that is awesome.”
