I’m very picky about the bathrooms I use for “excursions” and I must comment that the Weingart men’s bathroom on the first floor is positively appalling in condition. I can’t believe this bathroom remains unimproved in a school like this when, aside from the running water and plumbing, the thing resembles an outhouse in a Third World refugee camp. Not only is the entire room in a state of dilapidation stewing in a swamplike stench that stays in one’s nostrils for the rest of the day following one’s unfortunate visit, but the lone toilet in this room-tucked away in a dark, even more defiled looking corner-has no door in front of it. Allow me to repeat this: The toilet has no door, and the bathroom door lock does not actually work. So while I’ve sworn off visiting the aforementioned restroom (because of an unfortunate encounter where I rushed in to the sink and began washing my hands before noticing someone sitting on the toilet in the mirror), I’m hoping, for the sake of others stuck taking classes in Weingart who need the relief, that steps are taken to improve the quality of this lavatory. In the meantime, I’ll continue making the walk to the post office.
