On Halloween night, from 8 p.m.- 4 a.m. at the Shrine Expo Hall near USC, people will come from all over the world for Hardfest at the Hard Haunted Mansion. With a plethora of electro-music and featuring artists such as Justice, Soulwax, Boys Noize and Paparazzi, this event promises to be a night not easily forgotten by attendees. For those who are not sure what kind of music electro is, Urban Dictionary helps out by defining it as “similar to techno and trance, but less euphoric and more . . . funky,” and saying that it “kind of bridges the gap between trance and rock.” It is also great to dance to!

Monster Massive, in its eleventh year, also promises to be a party to remember. It will be held on Oct. 25 this year from 7 p.m.- 4 a.m at the Los Angeles Sports Arena and Grounds. Living up to its name, this event will feature five areas and will likely reach its attendance in past years of up to 50,000 people. Trance and house will be played in its main areas; drum & bass and techno in the smaller areas. Artists from across the globe such as Paul Van Dyke, Felix Da Housecat and Benny Page are just a couple of the many that will perform.
