Next week is National Sex Ed Week. Whether or not you’re sexually active, whether or not you’ve been tested, whether you’re into bondage or cuddling, as a college student, there’s no doubt sex is on your mind. At a small college campus like Oxy with a hook-up culture, there’s a lot to talk about.

No matter how experienced and well-versed you are, you can always learn more about birth control, sexual health, STDs, and sexuality. And starting next Thursday, September 23, many provisions of the health care reform package will be rolling out, including changes in the coverage of abortions and other medical services for women. It’s important to learn about how health care reform will affect your sexual health, a topic often glossed over in the debates over health care.

Did you know that starting next Thursday, insurance companies can’t charge a co-pay for preventative care such as physicals, pap smears, and mammograms?
