Emma Yudelevitch (first year) put together a strong performance for the women’s track and field team at the SCIAC Multi Dual 2 meet. She was part of the 4×100 relay team that finished in first place. On an individual level, she captured first place in both the 100-meter and 200-meter, finishing with times of 12.33 and 25.85, respectively.

“I am really happy with my performance this past weekend,” Yudelevitch said via email. “I feel stronger each race and cannot wait to see how the end of the season progresses. It is so great to be part of such a supportive team. During the 100-meter. I just felt all the lifting and speed training that we have done has truly come together. I was 0.01 [away] from my PR, and I hope to break it by the end of the season after more training and practice.”AOW_JeremyBloom

Hugh Pegan

Hugh Pegan (sophomore) mirrored Yudelevitch’s day on the men’s side at the SCIAC Multi Dual 2 meet. With times of 10.83 and 21.67, Pegan finished first in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash, respectively, and ran his leg for the first place 4×100 men’s relay team.

“This week I saw a season best and our [4×100] handoffs are coming along well,” Pegan said via email. “I think my progress this year is a good deal slower than my first year, but I’m definitely not upset about that. It’s just reality and it’s nice to see steady progress. I’d really like to mention how spectacularly proud I am of our team and how grateful I am to have the coaching staff that we have. Everyone has been overachieving this season, and we’re seeing the work we put in pay off with the victories and the national rankings.”
